Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our hotel team. This position is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance, safety, and functionality of the hotel property. The ideal candidate has experience with general building maintenance, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding guest service.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel property
Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems
Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and service calls
Complete preventive maintenance tasks according to schedule
Maintain guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities
Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance and safety issues
Assist with painting, carpentry, drywall repair, and basic renovations
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and hotel standards
Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory of supplies
Support emergency response procedures and after-hours maintenance needs as required
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous hotel, apartment, or commercial maintenance experience preferred
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repair work
Ability to use maintenance tools and equipment safely
Strong troubleshooting and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays if needed
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
Ability to climb ladders and work in tight spaces when necessary.
